About
My journey into the world of Luthiery officially began in 2011 when I attended the Vermont Instruments School of Lutherie where I completed the Introductory Acoustic Guitar Building Course. In continuing my education in the field of Lutherie, I attended next the Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery in Phoenix, AZ.
Upon completion of the program at RV, I took a position as an A level repair technician at the GC garage in Orlando, FL and soon after transitioned to Tennessee where I headed up the GC repair department in Chattanooga.
In 2014 I concluded my time at GC and moved back to FL and began work at Lyrical Lumber and Starr Guitars. Lyrical Lumber was an immersive deep dive into the world of guitar repair. At Starr Guitars I helped expand the repair department operations and was tasked with handling sensitive jobs from the Hard Rock Memorabilia Collection, which included guitars owned by Steve Vai, Elliot Easton, Paul Kossof and others. Due to the business arrangement between Starr Guitars and Historic Makeovers, I additionally handled the fretwork and setups for all of the Historic Makeovers from 2014-2015.
I transitioned to Historic Makeovers full time in early 2015. In 2018 I took on the additional role as the painter and held this position until late 2019. During this time I had the incredible opportunity to work on a number vintage Les Pauls and many other rare vintage instruments.
